Reactions: I really can't believe she retired from playing piano for church and her mother beat her up with a belt... And she quit music and art! Wow this chapter is getting interesting, I wonder what would happen next!

Quote: "Later that night, when Mommy came from work and saw all the lights on and all of us, even the Little Kids, downstairs waiting for her in the kitchen, she knew there was trouble. "Where's Helen"? she asked, panic climbing into her voice."

Reactions: You can tell she's a good mother cause she worries about her children, but when she whacks her kids with a belt doesn't mean she's harsh because in the Bible it says that it's good for them and it does not kill them something like that.

Quote: " You know, they'd let him circumcise children too. That was part of his job as a rabbi, to go to people's houses and circumcise their kids."

Reaction: Hey Mrs. Zana did you know in Philippines they circumcise their children too. I really don't know why but I think it's a religious thing.

Reaction: The next sentence was kinda weird, cause James thought they weren't still around... He's a Jew..Right? Hm... maybe he was young at this point i really don't know.

James family reminds me of my family...

First of all I call my dad Tateh too and my mom is like James mom, and my dad. Even my sisters and my brothers! Well one of my sister is in Cebu it's in Philippines. And the similar things that happens to James happens to me.
